Founded in 1993 by two working mothers, Barefoot Books is an independent business based in Cambridge, Massachusetts in the US and Bath in England. The company enjoys an international reputation for the quality of its products, and for the importance it places on creativity, diversity and an acceptance of the world's many traditions. Barefoot Books are printed on Ancient Forest friendly paper. We do not have the "main stream" characters that your child is bombarded with during the day. Our books have breathtaking illustrations and themes that encourage diversity and accepting all, no matter the culture, religion, color, sex, etc.
